The Professional Standards Division is under the professional direction of the Operations Commander.
This division is responsible for the following operational functions at the Teller County Sheriff's Office:
- Training of all department employees
- Employment of all individuals wishing to become part of the professional team at the Teller County Sheriff's Office
- Internal Investigations at the Teller County Sheriff's Office
- Civil Unit
- Procurement officer for all department equipment
- Firearms Instructor and armorer
