- Teller County Emergency Medical Services Council (TCEMSC)
The Teller County Emergency Medical Services Council (TCEMSC) was established to oversee and maintain standards for the treatment, transportation, and training of emergency medical services personnel, communication protocols, medical oversight, and allocation of funds. The Council also provides advisory support to the Teller County Board of County Commissioners on matters related to EMS provision within the County.
The Council assesses the County's emergency medical needs, sets priorities, and offers recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners as required. Working alongside Medical Directors, the Council helps establish care standards, develops treatment guidelines, and suggests improvements to EMS services. Information is promptly communicated to all member agencies, and the Council sets and achieves objectives to ensure accountability.
Collaboration with neighboring county EMS entities is encouraged, and emergency operation plans at both the county and regional levels are reviewed and evaluated. The Council organizes training sessions and drills at the county and regional levels to ensure that emergency personnel are well-prepared and properly trained.
